A blast from the past.

The solar eclipse of the 4th December, 2002. Taken in the South Australian town of Ceduna.

A picture of a hand holding a sheet of cart onto which a the double image of the solar eclipse is projected through a pair of binoculars. At the time the picture was taken, about 70% or so of the sun's disk was obscured by the moon. Thus, there was enough light coming from the sun for it to look as though there was full daylight. We can see the hand of the person holding the sheet of card, and in the background are some people going about their looking-at-the-eclipse business.
