Another story of the power of the State being used to punish someone for using words against those who are permitted by that State to use violence.
These cases are invariably taken against guys to are so drunk that they pose no threat to anyone except themselves, and the best that the State can come up to do with them is to give them criminal records.

Unknown parent • •The reporting around these stories drives me mad as well. Nearly 100% of the time there's a defence of mental illness, with supporting documentation presented at trial. The papers, though, always report these stories in a way that suggests it's funny, and we should be laughing along with them at the defendant.
